Advanced Remedial Massage Therapies.
Advanced Remedial Massage Therapies is a combination of direct (deeper movements and held trigger point techniques) and indirect (slow stretching) myofascial release techniques, integrated structural alignment and body balance techniques.
Advanced Remedial Massage Therapies target dysfunctional problem areas, chronic (old) injury sites and other chronic conditions concentrating on deactivating trigger points which are located on the taut tight bands of muscle fibres otherwise commonly known as “knots” and also concentrating on the referred painful areas that are situated away from the actual trigger point, assisting in relieving pain, which results in releasing the pressure by allowing the connective tissue to flush built up bi-products and toxins and relax the muscles back to their resting length. During this treatment the client should be able to breathe easily and deeply and both client and therapist may feel a “twitch response” as the trigger points release and each point can be held for 15 to 90 seconds depending on how tight they are.
Conditions that can be relieved are: headaches and migraines, nausea, deep chronic muscular pain, fibrosis , fibromyalgia, polymyalgia, muscular and fascial thickening, muscular tension, chronic musculo-skeletal structural conditions such as kyphosis, lordosis, scoliosis, arthritic conditions, and more,

Special Note: It is imperative that the client’s comfort is considered at all times.
