Introduction to Advance Massage Australasia
Advance Massage Clinic is set in the tranquil Nerang bushland, located at the base of
the Gold Coast's Hinterland area, 5 minutes from the Nerang CBD and no more than between 15 – 30 minutes
from anywhere on the Gold Coast; 30 minutes to Coolangatta Airport and 1 hour to Brisbane Airport.
Advance Massage offers a wide range of treatment services to suit every individual. Treatments
range from relaxation through to Remedial, Sports and Advanced Remedial Massage
Therapies, Reflexology, Pregnancy Massage, Aromatherapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage
and much more.

About us
Advance Massage Australasia founder and principal Wendy Lockyear has been in
the natural therapies industry, specialising in massage, since 1972 and is an
accredited member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society. Directing massage
teams for MSM (Multi Sports Marketing) 1994-97, providing the massage service
for the Qantas Queensland Bike Rides 1994 - 97 including events such
as the Gold Coast International Triathlon 1996, Aquathon 1997 and
International surfing and iron man events. On-Site Massage Therapist for movie
actors and production teams such as “The Phantom”, and “The Marine” and others.
Wendy has over 25 years clinical experience working in medical centres, nursing homes, natural health
centres, retreats and day spas such as the Golden Door Club, Sheraton Mirage, Gold Coast
(1998-2003) - where Advance Massage had their very own signature Hot Stone Therapy Treatment
filmed as part of a feature on the TV show Getaway - and accumulating experience working with
physiotherapists, naturopaths, acupuncturists, chiropractors, osteopaths and doctors and with over 20 years of training and instructional skills with nationally recognised and accredited qualifications in writing, facilitating and
delivering courses, seminars and workshops nationally and internationally in a variety of massage
therapy modalities for remedial, sports, occupational, beauty and spa therapists, physiotherapists,
nurses and aromatherapists. Wendy is now a regular columnist with "The Science of Beauty" magazine where she is an author of relevant articles on all aspects of massage therapy.
